Minority Center for Participation and Empowerment recognizes the enthusiasm of some young people to learn and become scientist but fall of aside because of the challenges associated with finances. Indeed, there are lot of young people from very low income backgrounds with lot of potentials to forge ahead but fall short to carry out their plans. Most of these individuals are females.
Minority Center believes that the education of a girl child is pivotal to our society today given the role educated women play in today’s life. In keeping with the above, Minority Center is providing higher education scholarships to ensure financial hardships are not a barrier to education.
Beneficiaries include minority folks living below the poverty line and majoring in science (biology, chemistry, engineering, math, and physics) with GPA 3.5 and above. Preference is given to female students.
